Aileen returned to Ireland in 2023 after many years living and working around the world.

She received her BFA from Southbank University, London and completed Turps Correspondence Course 2022/23. Aileen has had three solo shows:

• 2024 The Art of Staring at Walls – Kildare Town Library, funded by a grant from Kildare County Council
• 2023 Transistor Dreams – at No8 Gallery, Kildare, part of Culture Night 2023
• 2018 Elemental – at Palm Tree Gallery, London

She has shown work with the London based collectives Kindred Studios, Creative Hub_301 and ArtCan. Aileen is part of ArtNetdlr a Dublin based artist network and showed work in their group show ‘Interdependent’ in 2024.

Aileen works across sculpture, painting, collage and installation. Her practice is rooted in craft and abstraction. She constructs abstract colour driven works that hover between 2D and 3D. This ‘in between’ a way of exploring and pushing the traditions of abstraction and craft.
