Beyond the sunsets, a contemplation of the cataclysmic colour explosions happening out there beyond our view.
I prepare my canvas by painting and then leaving it out in the rain, wind, sun and in doing so ceding control to the elements. These colour fields stitched and interrupted with blank geometric shapes, the biomorphic black outlines interrupting this space. These shapes first formed as a semi sculptural piece I photographed in the landscape. Perhaps a vague unconscious response to the changing social/political landscape… smoke signals warning of what lay ahead.
